is there anyone out there that makes a control arm that will clear the steering shaft after a z? im cheap and dont want to spend the money for u joints if i can buy a tubuler a arm.

Not that I am aware of. If they did, why would you think it would be cheaper than the u joints?

X2, notch your arm, can't get cheaper than that. Also, I'd highly recommend cutting and aligning you upper bj while your at it.

i wouldnt think they would be cheaper... but they would alow more lift and add to the cool factor!

what are you guys using to notch the arm?

yeah id notch the arm. im in the same situation except my trucks stock floored to the doors. my steering shaft looks like it could fit UNDER my upper arm. haha.

Don't you still need one u-joint even with the control arm notched?

Use U-joints from junkyard steering systems instead of buying the expensive new ones. I'm running a rack instead, but I built my steering shaft from a couple of old shafts. Took 15 minutes and didn't cost a penny.

Heres a stock control arm notched out. Looks good imo and serves it's purpose.
