question about tilt wheel

I got my tilt wheel in yesterday. I noticed that it does not have a shift pointer like my old colmn has. IMy old colmn has like a black cover on it, and the very end is redesh oragne that lights up, the tilt that I just got has a pointer but it don;t have this black cover that I just described. The pointer is white with awhich lights up. My question is, does it suppose too? If some one would put a picture up, of your tilt that show what this is sopose to look like, seems like there is something missing, but then again, this might be how a tilt pointer looks.

While I have never seen a truck tilt, that is pretty much how my van one is, and I been told that mine is dang near right on as a double for the truck style.

That is how the tilt is supposed to be. I don't know if this shot shows it or not, but I can take one of my tilt in my 72 Cheyenne super. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
