leight weight swaping to make a heavyweight truck, 70 drw swap.

so i popped the motor in the 70 the other day, i was planning to rebuild something soon any how, now the schedule is just ramped up.

somebody put some effort into this thing a decade or 2 ago, torquer intake, headers, covers, i dont know if there is anything under them yet, doubt it.

day 1, 70 3/4t coil rear srw d60 402 th400 white repaint, was med green.

the plan,

swap full disc's in, swap in 73+ motor mounts, make it a drw and have the only all coil drw truck. rebuild a bbc for 300+/- hp and make it a fun semi work and burnout truck.

the parts.

85 1t+ drw disc front end, home brew c&c 14bff with 3.21/govloc and disc.

2 402's one bare one the exrunner from the flat bed, 1 +.030 454.

th400 from my old swb fast truck, 2000 stall, shift kit and internal springs removed, a real neck breaker.

gutted the motor and clip off and swapped the new clip in

the new clip didnt line up as well as the last time i did the swap so i will need to hog a few holes out, no biggie.

the front springs are like 2x stiff and hold it up at full height even with me standing on it, if i jump or bounce it will just barely move, ill will probably swap the old coils in. im not going to drop any height yet till i get my 19.5's and tires and decide how to go from there.
