new wheels
just scored on some new wheels. the guy said he had them on his truck for one day. They are the MB GUNNER 5 - 20'' he said they rubbed on his truck. so he took them off. i saw them new online for 800 $ I paid 280$ found em on craigslist. My ? is the wheels are 8.5 and what size tires should i put on them? my truck when im done with the build will be a 5 , 7 drop . i would like the wheel to fill out the wheel well as much as it can. should i go with a bigger tire in the back than the front? thanks steve http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/pts/1464195677.html.

if you want to fill the wheel wells, i would probably go with 40 series or bigger. .....so that would be 235 or 245/40r20 is the front, and id go with 255/40r20 in the rear. or if you want more sidewall, just replace the "40" with 45, 50, etc. i personally wouldn't go any bigger than 45 or 50 series, but thats just me... (my truck has 235/35r20's on all 4... its about 2" of sidewall, but a little more drop than you'll have.) i like the low-profile's!!!

hey n2trux with your set up and a static drop would they give me alot of rake? Since your on air you can level out, isnt your rear tire about 1.5 or 2 " taller in the back

(a 295 tire is 11.6" wide) the lower profile you go, the closer to your rim width you have to go. the optimum width for any tire profile is about 1" wider than your rim.
