Personally I like the side markers, just not how they came from the factory. On LowBuk I flushed them into the body and lowered them as well as moved them toward the bumpers just a bit. I think they look great and most people notice them but just can't figure out what was done.

My truck was never equipped with should seat belts.
This is how the exchange went:
"Do you know why I pulled you over?" - deputy
"No, I have no idea." - me
"Because you two aren't wearing your seat belts." - deputy
My wife and I both raise our arms to expose our fastened lap belts.
"Deputy, we are both wearing our seat belts." - me
"Did this truck come with shoulder style belts?" - deputy
"No sir." - me
"Where are you two coming from." - deputy
"Our new home." - me
"Where are you headed." - deputy
"My wife's family's home in Blanchard." - me
"Have you ever been to Blanchard?" - deputy
"If you look at my driver's license in your hand you will see that the address reads Blanchard."- me
"Oh, well Blanchard is that way." deputy points the opposite direction.- deputy
"Deputy, I haven't broken any law. I shouldn't have to outline the points of interest on my travel route. You've already implied that I'm a liar and now your treating me like a criminal. Can my wife and I please go about our travels?" - me
"I also notice now that you have a crack in the windshield. So I'm gonna need to run you and write a warning." - deputy

Then he proceeds to check the validity of my statements and run me for warrants. It took 28 minutes. I know it shouldn't take that long to run someone with ZERO violations.

It was just frustrating.

Re: Delux Side Marker Lights - Clear, Amber, Red

I am not saying that all of us are the nicest people but a bit of respect and no rude (as one interprets) comments go a long ways. As far as detaining you 28min. Sometimes their are a lot of other officers/deputies running people and it can take a while. He did have legal cause to detain you though. IMO if you did nothing wrong and have no record, then why give attitude/comments. If you want out fast, give answers to the point and dont question minor stuff. If the officer/deputy is really mean, be nice untill they are done and call their supervisor after, do not argue on scene because you will be arrested for something.

Personally, I can usually tell if you have a record by talking to a person and get then out as fast as i can so i can find a criminal faster.

I wasn't trying to be rude with the guy. I think what frustrated me was the way he was asking me the completely explain myself... as if I was doing something wrong or had no business driving where I was. He made me feel as though I was lying about where I was going because I wasn't going the way he would have gone himself. You know what I mean?

He was a rookie. His FTO was with him. I think he may have been trying to impress or maybe his FTO was thinking... "It's a slow Sunday afternoon, let's teach the rookie how we deal with punks."

I don't know. I really don't have a problem with officers or the law. In fact many of the friends I had in HS wear a badge now, but this situation rubbed me the wrong way.
