Lowered Saddle?

Has anyone else tried the lowered saddle? I have a couple of extra saddles I thought I might do. just wanted opinions.

The front crossmember, it's what we always refer to as the saddle.

I'm 1/2 way through one now. I've got it cut & trimmed up . . ... but still have a little more grinding before I'm completely happy w/the gaps. I've got a 67-72 rolling chassis @ work in a storage building that I'll check fitament w/once its tacked together.

I bought another crossmember w/matt67350 @ the swap meet & will take what I learned w/the first & apply it to the second so it should go easier.

I have access to as many as I want, I have one now and another on the way. I am good at welding so I think I am going to try it. What are you doing at work today Mark? Your supposed to be off on sat.
