Help with door seal

I was just wondering if the right side to left side door seals are the same. I have door seals that i bought from lmc and they are the same right to left. but there is a hard piece of rubber inside the seal. which on the passengers side it is right below the top curve on the rear of the door opening. and on the drivers side it ends up near the front hinge which is making the fitting of my doors a pita! i was j/w before i order another gasket set if thats how it is meant to be. THanks in advance.

i figured this might help. where the red is on the door seal is where there is a hard peice of rubber inside the rubber seal.

I'm not sure what that would be for, unless that is where the joint is. If you need another set go to the junk yard and get a set out of a '86-'96 Dodge Dakota pickup. They are the press on kind (no glue needed) and fit our trucks great. They have a lot of plastic trim around them so you will need a Phillips screwdriver and a small prybar to get them out.
