Need 1971 rear drum backing plates...Help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Have a nice 1971 C10 (12 bolt/drum brakes) rear end to swap into my 1968 SWB C10 truck to make it 5on5.
Trouble is the backing plates are toast (holes in them from rust or excessive sandblasting). I want to install new ones rather than stripping the old ones off my '68 rear end (they aren't perfect either).

Do any of you guys know where I can buy new ones? I have tried Ecklers, Classic, POL, Advance Auto Parts, LMC....no luck.

Somebody must make them. Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!

I just converted my 72 12 bolt to disks, rear drums were completely overhauled prior to switching over - never on the road. Backing plates were blasted and painted - all other components are new. Willing to sell if you're interested.

What price are you selling it for? Will you part at all? Just need the backing plates really as I have all rear drum components.
