Tach swap question.
Just recently got a gauge cluster with tach from a 76. Wondering if (after taking guages apart and modifying) the tach will work on my 91 wiring (got from burban for tbi swap) for my truck, if i route all the tach wires to distributer and +, -? Read in Crossy guide that you cant due to speed sensor (VSS) feedback needed for computer. Wondering if someone made this work...

Re: Tach swap question.
making the tacho fit and the small fuel gauge fit my 91 cluster on my 91 burban wiring, on my 86"TRUCK" is not the problem(put TBI with 91 burban wiring). I am asking if the Tach off a 76 cluster can be made to work on the TBI system stock distributer if i just hook it up to the distributer and +/-.

Re: Tach swap question.
I took a cluster off a 79 and put it in my old 87, worked fine. I think your gonna have to rewire the gauges to get them to work, it's gonna be different and for the VSS speedo.
