that should be a 94 or newer block then if it has rollers and was not machined for them which would explain the lack of the hole, 89-92 still used flat tappit lifters in them

89 block with factory flat tappet cam. I drilled it for the roller cam lifter valley retaining bolts and the cam retainer plate bolts so I could install the Vortec truck roller cam setup I am going to run in it.

Cool Re: 89 1500 parts ????

I took the inline out today. also welded in all the stake pockets on the bed. I was thinking about the ac unit out of the 89 , will that work in my truck? Thanks steve

It's possible the firewall forward part will fit but I highly doubt any of the under dash or control sections from the 1500 will fit a square body.

Aftermarket under dash assembly used with the factory 1500 compressor, engine mount brackets & condenser would be your best bet.

hey 68tt my 78 came with factory ac so can i hook the 89 ac unit up to the 78 ac underdash and control sections thanks steve

Yes you can. I did it on my 86. You will need the hoses from a 1989-91 suburban with out rear air and if you use your 89 brackets it's a bolt in.
