Thanksgiving Ride

Second year my Dad and I went for a ride in the hills above San Luis Obispo CA for Thanksgiving. This year my Brother and Brother in-law rode along for fun. Dad took out his new old toy which was pretty fun and went places I thought it would not. I did some 4 low climbs that would make everyone proud. Very few pics because it was so much fun and we rarely stopped; that is until the Pozo Saloon for a great meal and a gallon of beer. All in all a great weekend untill the ride home. About 45 minutes outside of SLO my truck sputtered, backfired and lost power. It was an interesting moment finding a road with no PS or PB, but it all worked out. I'm thinking it was a fuel filter with the recent sending unit work I've been doing, but I will find out this week as I had to have AAA tow it back to Dad's so the kids and I could get back to school and work this week. Keep you posted...

Cool. Nothing better than spending family time together with the toys we all love.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thanks for the compliment. No thread for the truck. Just random pics here and there. Still waiting to hear from Dad on the truck. All I know is that it was dropped off with no problems. First time I ever used my AAA card.

Re: Thanksgiving Ride

...Shoot, that gum wall was famous when I graduated from Poly back in '80! SLO is pretty fun to wander around downtown on weekends, enjoy the scenery (re: coeds) have a beer, do a little shopping. It makes for a nice afternoon.

Dad's VW is one of only 4 known Jagdwagen in US. Jadwagen was a special order "Hunters Edition" that came with alot of cool stuff like front and rear winches, brushguards, gun drawer, and a bunch more I don't remember.

Re: Thanksgiving Ride

Great pictures and priceless time spent with dad and family. Glad the truck is ok and it wasn't anything to serious.
