Re: Faded paint

Yup, 100% is 100%. I'm sorry I posted my truck. I put those tires on it last year and that cattle guard..... well shame, shame, shame, on me! and the mirror and trim aren't there, maybe 73% original? I might start a thread "73 % original trucks". Sorry thread starter.

The dictionary defines original as:" belonging or pertaining to the orgin or beginning of something or to a thing at its beginning." I am not going to split hairs over decals, spark plugs or original radiator hoses, but rally or wagon wheels were never installed by the factory during the 67 thru 72 era. Some of us want to see historically correct vehicles when someone asks for 100% original.
Wow. That is crazy. I was just joking around but you are serious. My truck is closer than most to original. The only outward change would be the rally wheels and dual exhaust. Hell I even have the original ident-o-plate. I'm 40 years old and have been around cars and car nuts my whole life. I never would have thought I would be considered a "Thread Jacker" for posting pics of my almost original 72 Cheyenne Super just because I had later model rally wheels on it. This is coming from someone who caught the late model wheels on the TA in the background of Dazed & Confused (which has a killer black short bed in it BTW). I know you are not singling me out but holy jebus. Lighten up a little.

Never say never my friend...

I thought the same thing and then I received a phone call from a couple of friends and I had my 95% rust free, Missouri born and raised, '69 CST 2WD SWB, 22 miles from my door. Built in St. Louis, sold new in Chamois, MO, and doubtful it ever crossed the state line.

They are out there, they're just tough to locate.
