Re: What would you change?

I would have held out for a C-10 instead of a C-20. Though I've hauled quite a bit in it that I wouldn't have been able to haul in a C-10, so it's all good.

Re: What would you change?

people think differently from time to time. specially when you're young. i regret throwing away my perfectly nice original bench seat to replace it with "racing seats". i was such a ricer. it was funny because i then ended up selling them in disgust. haha. now i have a ford becn seat but it looks and feels really good

Or,you could read all the suggestions and try those. It`s been well explained,I think, already.

I would have to agree starting with a better truck in the first place, but I've grown attached to my rust bucket so I guess we're in it together.

I wish I did too. Mostly because of the 8 lug wheels

Re: What would you change?

I would have bought a truck that I could at least drive while doing repairs here and there not having to load it on a trailer and starting right way into complete rebuild...that or just been happy with a long box and fixed up my 72 instead.

Me too! Really difficult to keep up motivation if the only seat time you have is loading it on/off the trailer. Anyone want to buy a project...

Re: What would you change?

Just got my new truck recently...wish the p.o. would have put the overdrive trans in like he planned so the freeway drive would be better with the rear gears...no worries though she is quick on the street...and it gives me something to look forward to doing to it in the future...

Re: What would you change?

Wish I would have waited till the spring to tear it down... Its to cold in the garage. But in Texas anything below 50 degrees is too cold....

I also purchased to many parts that now fills up my garage, so much now I cant even walk through it.... I need to get another storage building but HOA wont allow it.....

Re: What would you change?

I wish I would have paid a bit more attention to maintenance the first few months while I was having such a good time driving it around. If I had had it on the road and did one small repair at a time while still keeping it drivable so it was fun I wouldn't have had the momentum killer of taking it off the road and then having it sitting and not being as motivated to work on it as I knew the next repair wouldn't be putting it on the road anyway but merely 1 in a series i had to do.
