Help.. Lost my 1972 c20 gas cap !!! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know this sounds dumb, and I apologise for that but I lost the cab gas cap which has a 2" filler neck where as the auxillary tank has the standard gas cap. I went to Grumpy's, Napa, Pep Boys, and Checker auto and can't find one that will fit. I'm worried about ordering from a catalog just to get the wrong one. Does the 72 C20 Camper Special have a different tank?

Tell them what you have. Any parts store should be able to get you the right one.
If they order one and it doesnt work you dont have to keep it. Tell them it wont fit.
