Technical rear view mirror question
Ok, as some may know, a 71 truck cab has a raised pad where the rear view mirror mounts. (between the visors) What i would like to know is this: does a 71 blazer also have a raised portion for this?
Thanks, Eric

Re: Technical rear view mirror question
I think your 72 jimmy should have the mirror on the windshield. Is there still a raised portion that would fit the mirror?

Re: Technical rear view mirror question
LOL! I got tired of gluing mine back on as well. I will be installing a 71 and older mirror in my 72 blazer.

Re: Technical rear view mirror question
My '71 Jimmy has the stock vinyl covered mirror mount on a bump in the windshield frame. I once had a '67 K/10 Suburban, the PO had put in a 454 and a '72-style glued-on rearview. It shook so much I copied the mount on my '68 stepside. I found a chrome mirror mount salvaged from my Dad's '64 Olds stationwagon. Same piece. The holes were still there. There's no bump on the '67/'68s.

Re: Technical rear view mirror question
Thanks for the info. I will be parting a 71 and wasn't sure if it had its own windshield frame or if it was the same for all years. The 71 trucks had a raised spot for the mirror, but that was the only year. Thanks again, Eric
