Cut and Paste pics?
Hey guys
I'm getting ready to start a build thread (finally) and I can't figure out how to cut and paste pictures. I am only able to attach 3 pictures at a time. Do I have to buy some sort of memebership? Scott |

Where are your pictures located? Hard drive or a picture hosting site?

If you want to get full access to this site and be able to sell things its a good idea to get the membership so the moderators stay off your butt when you post something. As for your pics most picture hosting sites ie photobucket etc have links to your pics under them and if there on your computer go down past where it says submit post and click on manage attachments then search your files for your pics.

Re: Cut and Paste pics?
All of my pictures are stored on my hard drive. Should I set up a photobucket account?

Re: Cut and Paste pics?
In the reply section go advanced. At the bottom of the post is a manage attachments box, click browse, find your picture and click it. If they are too large they will not upload. And doing it that way you can only do 3 pics at a time (I think). I use photobucket, it is free and I can post 10 pictures at a time. Once you link a picture though do not move, or delete it or you will leave your posts with a red X

Re: Cut and Paste pics?
For build threads it's best to use a host. This allows you to post up to 10 images per post and add text in between. You can use any number of hosts including the gallery here. Once uploaded to the host right click on the full image (not the thumbnail), and select properties. Highlight and copy the image URL. Or if you use google chrome it's just right click/copy IMG URL.
To post the pic in a thread click the icon above the text field that's second from the right (looks like a post card with a mountain). Paste the img URL there and voila! |

Re: Cut and Paste pics?
if you are trying to upload from your computer you are right in that initially it will only let you do 3. Once those three have uploaded two more upload boxes open up and you can attach two more pictures.
At that point 5 is all you will get when uploading. So I post that reply, and then add a reply in which I can add five more pictures. Every reply you post can contain five uploaded pictures.
