ok so i learned
My shocks, coils and springs are worse than i thought. i was driving to school this mourning and my truck bottomed out. And the arm holding the spare tire on had a nice spark show. and the truck bounces like a basketball after hitting small bumps it does ride like a caddy though.
does autozone carry these parts to keep me from ripping my spare tire off? Jake |

Continued bounce after 'normal' compression of the suspension typically indicates excessively worn shocks. Your local parts place should still carry p/n's for 60-90's GM trucks.

Re: ok so i learned
Is this a lowered truck? I am surprised that a stock hieght truck would hit bottom.
But as SCOTI said excessive bouncing indicates worn shocks.

Re: ok so i learned
yes it is stock and the stance is messed up. it is lower in the front than the back. but rides like a caddy and i just got to watch it. i did put some wood between the coil springs and that helped but i will see what new shocks will do
thanks! Jake |
