99 silverado donor truck/68 Burb

Well I had a customer call me and tell me his son wrecked his 99 Silverado. He wanted to know if I knew anyone that might be interested in it. The son had no insurance and the damage is about 2k to get fixed and he does not have it. I went to look at the truck and ended up making him an offer for it. It has the 5.3 in it and runs good. I am thinking that might be a cool swap for my 68 GMC burb. The burb has the 396 in it and it runs great, so its always a little scary tearing up something that is running awesome. If I get the whole truck what will I be able to use for the swap? I see alot of people talking about gas tanks, return lines, reflashing harnest, and all that stuff. If I get the whole truck can I use the tank? will i have to reflash? Whats the deal? I dont want to get in over my head so let me know what you think? I could probably part out the rest of the truck and make my money back from the purchase, and also sell my 396 and tranny. That should help me recoupe any extra cost. What would the 396 go for? HELP!! LOL
Thanks
Juan
