I could easily have spent 60,000-80K if I bought things at retail and did a big crate motor, high end pulley setup, used NOS parts, and custom billet wheels...
That being said, as I mentioned, I've spent no where near 40,000 of my own money but gotten 40K retail worth of parts through trading/buying parts lots, and getting deals on new unused parts from abandoned builds.....
