can any truck be a cheyenne etc?

With the research I have done on my truck so far I know it was 72 v8 1/2t and made in Flint, but nothing else since my glove box sticker is gone. It does have factory ac/power steering options. Could I paint this truck any color and put Cheyenne package etc on it and just add the options on a new glove box sticker and be good to go. Or is there another way for me to find out what it originally was and the paint color?

Re: can any truck be a cheyenne etc?

I believe one difference in the Cheyenne is the cab has a inset for the headliner that is not there on the other models. I think all the 72 Cheyennes had a cargo light as well. I'm sure others will chime in with other suggestions. Got any pics of y our truck? It may give some clues as to what it was originally.

You can do any options you want. The only thing that shows in your VIN is what you already listed, the type of bed,and wheelbase.

type of bed isn't listed on the VIN.
You can 'clone' your truck into a cheyenne if you want. There's a few ways to tell if it was one orignally. if you post some photos we can tell you pretty quick what it has on it.

like others said, you can clone one, but there are ways of telling. Also, be prepared to spend some good money on nice Cheyenne or Cheyenne Super parts. Trevor

I`m dyslexic like that.I guess the model number isn`t anywhere on it,so no mention of bed type..

Hey,you`d have to add more than just Cheyenne stuff for it to be a Cheyenne Etc,right?
