Keith Seymore in the news
The Detroit Free Press, actually -
I've been expecting this article to come out for about a month now.... We did a 1.5 hour written interview the middle of last month, and then another hour video interview a couple weeks ago. At any rate, here is the link: http://www.freep.com/article/2009121...1411/special04 I'm takin' some pretty serious hits in the comments about driving my old truck... K

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
I would put a classic against a new truck for dependability. Who can fix a new truck in a few hours and be back on the road?

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Great article- Forget the a$$3$ with the rude comments. Is it your fault chevrolet built a strong truck that'll last over 20 years? hmmm It might be your fault. Great article and way to speak from the heart.

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
I thought the same thing. I have noticed that sort of thing on other things too. Like our local news station has areas to comment on stories, You always end up with comments like some of these ones. Really frustrating.

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Very cool article. Congrats Keith. As for the people making nasty comments, they need to get a life.
I think it's awesome that you followed you father's footsteps.

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Great article.
I read two pages of the ignorant comments and closed it. What a bunch of fools writing comments.

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Congratulations on the article. It read very well. I tried to read some of the comments, but the majority of them seemed to be people looking for a pity party.
War on!!! You are an inspiration! |

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Wow! Some of those people piss me off! The comments about the 90 % of engineers engineers being lazy paper pushers that don't do anything takes the cake! As some one that is working my way through college as a janitor, I would like to put my boot in that guys @ss. I just passed Calc, so in about a year and a half I should have a BS in Automotive Engineering Technology.
I was at the Tech Center in 2006 for Formula SAE. Nice place.

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Thanks Keith, I enjoyed the story. You're a class guy, the others, well, they're just human debris.
The nasty comments are a good window to see into the minds of those writing them. There's a reason some of them are unemployed, their comments are very revealing.

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
...........and another thing!
I'm sick and tired of all this crying about how GM shouldn't have been building SUVs trucks etc. Gimmie a break! GM, Ford, or Chrysler don't build anything unless there's money to be made. Have any of those tree hugging anti domestic truck folks looked at a Toyota Tundra lately? Good grief, those things are bigger than or equal in size to a domestic truck! OK, that's all, for now........

Re: Keith Seymore in the news
Awesome article, well done. I had to leave my two cents worth. some of those guys are idiots. So what if you drive an 86 instead of buying a new one to "support your company" Sounds like good advice and if others had done the same thing, they wouldnt be in the debt troubles they are now. Good for you, and Dave Ramsey would be proud.

Dave would probably tell me to sell some of the cars I've already got.... (lol) Actually, as was pointed out, for the 18 years I was a company car driver I was "forced" to buy a new vehicle each year, in order to comply with the policy. So, over the last 18 years I've bought at least 18 new vehicles. That seems pretty supportive, in addition to the six GM vehicles I already have... K
