v8 rad ?

whats everyone using for a rad in converting to v8 without breaking the bank? i am going bbc 454.i don really want to cut up rad support .dont mind drilling a couple extra holes. some where i seen something about using a dodge van rad?

I havent started making it fit but I plan on using a radiator with dual electric fans from an ls1 camaro.

Start with what you have a try a Mark VIII fan or a Taurus Fan on it.

I was running the stock 6 cylinder radiator with a shroud and had no problems with my 283 (cam, 4bbl). This go around I picked up a larger radiator out of a 57 big truck, It is 1" thicker (3" total) a a little wider and a little taller. I am going to run it with the same shroud. Engine this time is a 350 but with air so I will have a condenser. The factory v8's had sheet metal that moved the radiator about 4-5" behind the support and closer to the engine. I did not move mine. I figure if I have problems I will add an electric fan to it I have lots of room.

Later: Here is a photo of the radiator shroud mockup. The fan blade will fit inside the shroud at the circle without any spacers.
