Almost Finished and many thanks to all
It has been almost a year now and I am about finished with my 69 SB, but I am going to attempt a new heater core this weekend since they are calling for 20 inches of snow on Saturday. The wifes contribution was the stainless wheel trim but I cannot make up my mind whether they look OK or not especially since I just put on the new(old) set of slot wheels.
She also bought me a new GM grille at the same time as the wheel trim, so I might be stuck with the trim, a least for awhile? Any opinions from you guys on the wheel trim would help, I am thinking it belongs on a new truck, not these old trucks There is not much I didn't touch on this truck the past year, but one thing for sure, this site and you guys were a world of help in the process. Thanks again for the help and here is the results |

Your truck looks really good. Nice job! I kind of like the wheel lip trim. Slots look good too. Nice clean ride. Don't drive it in the salt!

I'm with you on the trim. It does belong on a new truck. Nonetheless, your truck is really nice. I love the color too.

Sharp lookin truck!I don't mind the wheel well trim, but I think I'd leave it on for a few months then maybe take it off if you still aren't feelin it.
What color is that exactly, the pic doesn't look like a true red? Surely you have more than just one pic!?

Re: Almost Finished and many thanks to all
Love the slots! Good looking ride.
I'd pass on the trim myself. Might be a hiding spot for future rust.

Re: Almost Finished and many thanks to all
The trim came from LMC Trucks, cost about $100 and real easy to put on

Re: Almost Finished and many thanks to all
I want to at least lower the back to level it out but I am not sure how much I need to lower it, do you know where to take measurements from?

Quote:
If you want to level it I would go with four inch lowering springs.
