Door Lock Issue
Back a month or so ago I noticed that when I locked one of my doors, the lock mechanism moved and locked the door. However, when you tried to open the door it would at first seem like the button would hit the "lock" mechanism, but eventually give and allow the door to open.
I've never worked with a door lock mechanism, so does it sound like I need to replace the entire setup? A piece or two? What do I need to look for? Again, everything operates the way it should when locking the door, it just allows the door handle button to be pressed are enough without retaining the locked position. Thanks in advance!

I guess I would have to say that the door is not closing all the way and it is keeping enough pressure on the latch that the lock Mechanism is not engaging all the way. Try pushing in on the door while you turn the key to lock it and see what that does. LockDoc
