Reproduction doors 55 to 59

I'm at the stage of repairing my doors and both of them are crap, door bottoms need replaced on both of them, dents and the inner panel on another needs replaced.

Has anyone had any experience with the reproductions?

Re: Reproduction doors 55 to 59

I just put a pair of the Dynacorn doors on mine. There is a fair amount of adjusting as with any replacement body part, especially with the doors and trying to get the gaps right.
Be aware that there are some factory problems with the replacement doors concerning the hinge pocket placement, especially with the passenger side. This is supposed to have been corrected by the company so you want to be sure you get a recently made set. Dynacorn supplies the doors that most of the catalogs list, no matter what the retailer says, from what I have been told.
There are two articles on webrodder.com that are essential to read before you order them. By the way that site has some really great articles about the 55-59 truck rebuilds and rodding them.

Your best bet is to get 2 more decent doors and make a good pair out of all 4 with some cuting and welding. Repro suck, but thats just my opinion.

Don't expect that just because they are original doors that they will fit any better. The hinges will be ok but QC back then was poor at best. You couls put 4 different doors in the same opening and find that they all fit differently.
