Re: no seatbelts or airbag needed

That could be a really nice truck.....

if the following things are done in my opinion:

remove the stupid red tint

replace the door trim panels

replace the steering wheel

replace the gauge bezel

re upholster the seats in black leather and trim the foam inside

replace the headliner

take all that shag carpet out of it

rework the bed wheel openings to try to match the front as close as possible

take the side trim panels inside the bed out completely

That truck makes a great starting point, the engine bay looks really good.

I was thinking about 1974 in the big middle of the van craze when fully carpeted interiors where the hot lick.

The workmanship doesn't look bad but the interior does look really dated and tacky by today's standards.

Re: no seatbelts or airbag needed

the fad in the 90's was tweed... like a potato sack.
I agree with the 1974 van craze comment, this looks like it was removed directly from one of those things.

Re: no seatbelts or airbag needed

When I see stuff like this I wonder what it must to be like to work at the shop that did the work... "the customer wants what? thats gonna be ugly as sin.." Then, in the process working on it, they go home at night and think about workin on that ugly ass thing again the next day.

i agree with big al.

it could be saved. i'd gut the interior, rip off the red tint, and put the right bed on it.

the engine bay is very nice.

Re: no seatbelts or airbag needed

You guys can talk about that awful interior all you want. The worst thing he did was put that stupid sport side bed on it. Spiffy engine compartment though.
