Bench test Cruise Control

Need some input, would like to test a cruise system before I install it in my truck. Any one done it?

I'm guessing that I need a certain amount of vacuum, 12 volts and a certain amount of RPM to the speedometer drive cable

Any thoughts or input would be very helpful

Re: Bench test Cruise Control

Funny you should ask this? I have been trying to find a wiring diagram for this switch, it rings out funny. So maybe someone can help us both out? I am thinking the resume accel sw is normally closed and the set/coast is normally open but it eally doesn't make sense. I know I didn't help you at all but a bump for you!

Re: Bench test Cruise Control

I have a couple of early 70's chevrolet shop/body manuals at my shop, and IF I remember I will bring them home and look to see what they offer for troubleshooting/diagnosis. Might help.

Re: Bench test Cruise Control

Well, it could all be a moot point, as the seller skipped someone and offered to sell to me. Just gotta wait to see what the other guy is goin' to do...Sh!t happens
