Spacer?

Can anyone tell from this photo, if that is a spacer on the rear drum? If it is, how do you remove it? Also, if it is, then removing it will allow me to install dual wheels right? Thanks..........

Re: Spacer?

no spacer that is the wheel hub.

you can put dual wheels on it now if you want. you will need longer stud though.

if you want a 63" axle you need to take all of that stuff off, cut the backing plate flange off the housing, get a new one. get some drw hubs, reinstall everything being sure to put the flange on first. once every thing is in posission you can weld the flange on.

Re: Spacer?

If I'm understanding correctly; I can just R/R studs w/ longer ones and then install the duallies? Or.....R/R the axles w/ longer ones and make the necessary modifications?

Re: Spacer?

depends on what exactly you are trying to achive.

yes you simply put in longer studs.

are you trying to keep the outside tire under the bed?

what axle is it exactly? look like a eaton or a 14bff.
