Re: Black Inserts for 69-70 grill
They have the stick on letters at classicparts.com I haven't tried them yet but they're only $5
Heres the link: http://www.classicparts.com/1969-70-...ctinfo/61-822/ They have them in black and white. Also have the tailgate letters in black, white and chrome. |

Re: Black Inserts for 69-70 grill
I have the letters from Classic Parts. They look good and they're pretty cheap.

Re: Black Inserts for 69-70 grill
The letters are adhesive backed. I put a weak dish soap and water solution on the grill and slid them into place.

Re: Black Inserts for 69-70 grill
Yea it was i tried the soapy water seemed to work best. I did one letter without water and it was really hard to get it "right". They don't fill the letter indent perfect the decal letters are quite smaller.
I also brought the grill inside to warm it up. but looks good overall couldn't be happier. way easier than painting them id say.

Those look great! Are they the ones from classicparts? Do they seem like good quality decals? I'm going to have to get some!

Re: Black Inserts for 69-70 grill
Lol, yeah they seemed like a good deal to me even if they don't last real long. I haven't seen any in person but they look great in your pics! Glad I could help
