Turn Signal Help
I've got a problem with my turn signals and could use some help. My radio shuts off every time I turn them on. I also noticed that all the lights dim slightly and flash with the blinker when it is on. Could it be a bad flasher relay? I have not replaced it because I have not seen a bad relay cause all the lights to blink before. Is it possible or any other ideas? The truck is a 66 GMC and I have looked over everything for possible shorts. Thanks

Re: Turn Signal Help
Welcome to the board!
Your flasher is fine, all it does is make the lights flash. Is this test with the engine running, or turned off? I would actually first check the charging system, make sure you have full system power before diggingg into anything else. |

Re: Turn Signal Help
Check your grounding, making sure that every major body part,i.e. cab, frontend and bed is grounded to frame, engine to frame.I just got through doing a complete rewire on a 65 GMC and the system all references ground through the body to the frame back to the negative on your battery.Hope this helps.

Re: Turn Signal Help
Try this one.Its for 60-66 GMC but I went with HEI ign.which is basically the same at the engine.
