Re: Door locks

I have alway used (and had good luck with) Autoloc stuff. This kit sounds like what you need, remote locks and you choose whether you want an alarm or not....

Re: Door locks

I can give a vouch for Commando brand door lock kits. I was in the same boat as you, wondering which brand to get, and the guy who installed them told me that he'd used Commando a ton of times with no negative reports.

They're highly responsive, powerful actuators and I havent' had a problem yet. Total kit should only be like $40.

Other recommendations:
1. Your doors will be totally taken apart. If you want to do any other in-door upgrades, now is the time to consolidate that labor bill.

2. Power windows can be done at this time as well, if you want to.

3. Sound deadening in the doors can be done at this time too. Have the guy do a full layer of Xtreme Dynamat while he's inside those doors, and you'll never feel like you're driving a tin can ever again! Solid door shutting sound, drive by cars are muted, road noise dampened.

If you don't listen to my suggestions at all, you'll still be happy with the new power locks. Makes a huge difference in daily drives!
