dip stick
ok i was putting my headers on and i pulled out the dipstick and cant figgur out how to put it back on? there is a tube sticking out from the block about 1/4inch out and its the same size as the dipstick tube i pulled out?
any help? did i brake it?

great.how do i get the rest of it out? put some wd40 to let it sit and pull it out? or not good with it around the oil?

Drop the oil pan and tap it out with a screw driver from the bottom up.

It may come out if you're careful by pulling it out. The wd-40 won't hurt the engine as long as you don't go nuts and fill up the pan. I'd try this first to save pan removal, but even if you break it off to where you can't get ahold of it, tapping it out from underneath will work. Just be careful not to cave in the end of the tube you're tapping on or it will deform and not come out easily.
Looks like you have a 2wd. If you have a small block 350 you can take the pan loose without moving the engine. Just unbolt the pan and if you can't get it out, rotate the crankshaft until you can get the pan out. The front throws on the crankshaft will block you from removing it, so you just rotate the engine until they're out of the way. |

mine is loose and tha headers are in tha way of tightening it up, i cant get 2 it

been driving around all morning looking for some place that has a dipstick no luck but i got a tinny one its about 7 inchs long im gona try that
