fuel sending unit

I am looking to swap the side tank for a blazer tank. I found a tank at the junkyard but it has a 4 tube sending unit. My truck had a three. What is the difference. What is the extra tube for? I am trying to get a sending unit that has an intank pump also. Was going to try to remove that pump and fit a Walbro for an upcoming LS swap. Thanks for any help!
