Are these "bucket buddies" or bust???
I went to the pull-a-part today, and I picked up these seats out of a 79 Jeep Wagoneer. I saw some posts that said Dodge, Chrysler, & Jeep models will work. The only difference I see is a smaller middle console instead of the bigger console in some buddy buckets. I only shelled out $50 bucks for the set. Do you think it's a good deal? Any suggestions?

Looks ok to me. If you recover them in your color, put mounting brackets from our trucks under them (unless they"re flat then just use them as is), not many could tell tell difference. Cnut

They don't look right to me.
Hit up C10King since he deals a lot with those, he I think would be able to tell you for sure.

they look nothing like buddy buckets to me... but for 50 bucks, it's a good deal. You could tripple your money in no time IMO.

Re: Are these "bucket buddies" or bust???
+2 on definetely not being buddy buckets, but yea for 50 bucks thats a good deal. The seats you got have to much side bolster and the seat back is taller then a authentic buddy bucket seat would be, and the middle seat if you can call that a seat is way too small. The real deals middle seat is almost as wide as the actual buckets...but not quite.

Re: Are these "bucket buddies" or bust???
go to upholstery shop with pics of what our truck buckets look like and they can make up clones that most people wouldn't know the difference from originals at a fraction of the price of "factory correct" seats will cost you

Re: Are these "bucket buddies" or bust???
Dodge,Plymouh and Chrysler were one company and Jeep/AMC was another in the 67-72 era.The 79 would be a much later body style and never came with buddy buckets.
Still a good score for $50.

These are correct buddy bucket's for 67-68.

Re: Are these "bucket buddies" or bust???
I am looking forward to your rebuild and assemble thread. Please let me know when you start it. I need to make one solid seat frame to put my seats on.

Re: Are these "bucket buddies" or bust???
I like buddy buckets also ,these will get you a little further back from the dash and look a taiste more stylish than a buddy bucket. Once they are recovered they will be slick ....
