Question Measurements for a cab dolly?

I'm about to pull the cab off my donor truck, but I need to build a dolly for it first. I'd like to bolt the cab to the dolly, and I've already measured how far apart (horizontally) the bolts are, but I need to figure out how much higher the rear of the cab is than the front.

Does anyone have a basic measurement for this?

Thanks!!

I guess no one has numbers so i would slide a piece of plywood under the truck and shim it until the 4 ccorners of the rocker panels are the same distance to the plywood surface then measure up to the cab mounts and double check

Re: Measurements for a cab dolly?

There is someone on the board who developed a stand for a cab, something to move it around with, he used to sell the plans and things on here.

Maybe someone can remember who I'm talking about.

Re: Measurements for a cab dolly?

I can get you those measurements if you can wait until I'm at the shop tomorrow....unless someone beats me to it.

That would be great. It's sitting on the frame at the moment, and it's too hard to figure out what the difference is...

Thanks!

Re: Measurements for a cab dolly?

By the time I remembered to check today it was dark, so I just measured the cab dolly that I made and the difference from front to back is 2 1/2"
