Why should you have disconnected the battery?

it's a joke at work, mostly for new computer controlled autos. step 1 in almost every electrical repair is to disconnect the battery, we do it all the time?? yea sure...

Re: allow me to introduce myself (and truck)..

Wow, let me re-introduce my self. I started this post 7 years ago. I had lost interest in my truck and I still have it. I have had a few "life events" in between. Actually building a house and reality go in the way of finishing my truck. I'm still working at the same dealership.

I'm sort of laughing at my 7 year old posts. What is going on with my grammar. Anyways I still have the truck, completely taken apart now. The frame is at a friends waiting to be sandblasted, the cab is at the body shop, the bed is in my garage where I may make an attempt to repair holes in it. Actually I would like to post pictures and see what you guys think I should do. Can someone let me know how to post pics? Anyways, i'm back and i'll start posting pics when I figure it out. My motor plans changed also. I now have a 6.2 L92 Escalade motor for my baby...

Glad you came back to post...cool motor choice....that will give a nice kick in the pants with the truck. As far as pictures, the easiest way is to set up a photobucket acount, load them all up, then copy the html link that says img at the front and paste it here. They show up a nice size without resizing. You can post pictures directly from your computer using the button that looks like a paperclip on here, but it's only 5 at a time, they are smaller, and you have to take the time to resize them to fit.
