If you want a performance 292 look up "Leo Santucci".He is a big 6 inline engine builder/racer,The 292 is his choice due to CI but most tips he gives will work with other 6 cyl.Leo also has written a book "Chevrolet Inline Six Cylinder Power Manual"

Check out inliners.org look up twisted6 racing the guy is very up on inline 6 performance and especially "lump ported" heads! Some good info there.

That first pic that Frank(Pickmup) posted is the 250 I spoke of I have a bunch more of that truck basically its a stock 250 with a clifford water heated manifold 500 holley,stovebolt cast headers and the air cleaner is off a Buick. It has a 3 column shift overdrive tranny out of a 68 Elcamino bendin the linkage was a real PITA but after about 8 hours I got it to work smoothly. I built this truck for a guy in Bellingham and it is one sweet runnin drivin rig

It's a little dusty, but here's the 250 in my '66 C10. Holley 390; Clifford intake, headers, and cam; HEI.
