? on exhaust for 2500 suburban

Just picked up on a 2000 4x4 Suburban 3/4 ton with a 6.0. The truck had the exhaust cut off from about a foot back from the cats. My question is should I run a 2 1/2 or a 3 inch duel mufflers and tail pipes? Looking for gas milage and in cab noise is ok. Truck came with a K&N intake. Any response would be great. Thanks.

Re: ? on exhaust for 2500 suburban

Did the suburbans have dual exhaust from the factory? My 03 1500HD does. If it does I would just start from where they cut it off, and replace it back to the rear with new pipe, and mufflers.
