Exactly... thanks guys!

So the good folks at GM used the leverage applied by this mechanism to amplify the hand brake mechanism force.

Looks like I have some fabricating to do.

Could some body tell me the length of the lever arm from its pivot to where the rear brake cable attach, and from the pivot to where the hand brake cable attachs? Armed with this data I can fabricate a similar arrangment?
