how long are factory springs???

Hey guys. I have a chance to purchase a new set of springs from an associate of mine for our years of trucks. However, he doesn't know what drop they are if any. the springs are 12.5" for the fronts and 9.5" for the rears. Can anyone tell me if these are drop springs and if so what drop they are? Thanks guys

I have a set of new aftermarket stock coil springs for a C10 2wd and they are 13" out of the box.

burke, you may need to post pics of the springs. They may be aftermarket.(Probably are).Maybe one of the mambers will be able to tell by length and looking at the wire wrap.

Re: how long are factory springs???

You can tell drop springs by looking at them.Knowing the amount o drop is a bit harder to figure.
nds1968,are those front or rear stock springs?

Re: how long are factory springs???

The rear coils I have are 13" and the front coils are 13.25". I don't remember the brand but they are suppose to be stock.

Re: how long are factory springs???

I have my original stock springs laying here that I took off. These are 38 years old, but the fronts measure 14" from top to bottom. The new AC delco replacement front springs I have are 13.75"

The rear springs are 12.5"

Re: how long are factory springs???

I installed a set of 3 " rear drop springs that measured 9 1/2"
The rear stock measured 12 1/4"
I might be able to find that thread somewhere.
