ECE Rear Shock Relocator Question??!!
okay, just installed the my ECE rear shock relocator on my '69 and I'm also bagging the truck. everything's good.
the new upper mount is dimensionally the same as the old upper mount. still, all is cool. now comes the issue. the lower shock mount in the kit contained a 5/8" diameter mounting stud. the original shock mount was a 1/2" diameter stud. when I try to find shocks that will fit both the upper and lower mounts, I am coming up craps. here's my request: if your running this kit, can you tell me what shock your using, pn# and manufacturer? fyi, I know the "full" kit ECE sells contains KYB shocks THANKS GANG!!!!

Re: ECE Rear Shock Relocator Question??!!
I have the ECE 4/6 drop and my rears are KYB GR-2's. Part number on the carton was 02-7510.

Re: ECE Rear Shock Relocator Question??!!
Posted without seeing the numbers above...the one thing I'd check is since the kit is only for a 6" drop and you're bagging (probably 8" when aired out) you might find the shocks limit your drop... I found out the ART front kit uses Monroe 33033 shocks...did a quick google search and got them on ebay for around $18 shipped for both IIRC.
Sorry I don't have better info.....TTT

Re: ECE Rear Shock Relocator Question??!!
Doug, here's the info I have from my build thread in reference to the KYB shocks offered by ECE. According to the boxes shipped by ECE, and after confirming the number with the shock themselves, here's the numbers you need to correspond with your local KYB dealer:
02-7002 Front KYB GR-2 Drop Shock (344068) 02-7510 Rear KYB GR-2 Drop Shock (344055) The numbers 344055 and 344068 are stamped into the shock, and is also part of the UPC printed from KYB.

Re: ECE Rear Shock Relocator Question??!!
yes, they would apply to Nate's specific drop, but I can now contact KYB with the pn# and tell them what length I will need.
I think I can then find a cheaper comparable brand.

Re: ECE Rear Shock Relocator Question??!!
That's all I was wanting to point out was for someone not to just copy down the part #'s and think they would work on their specific application...
