Question '66 c20 to disc and keepin the 8 lug, help!

ok so i got a '66 c20 3/4 ton that i'm swappin '84 c20 discs to. got the spindles and rotors on but my problem is the tie rod ends for the 66 don't work (larger diameter) on the 84 spindles, my question to you good fellows is, should i change the whole center link with tie rods from the 84, which i don't have anymore or can i find an adj. sleeve that would make the transition i need? or any other solutions would be welcome, thanx guys!:
ps cant drive my darn truck till this is figgered out!! sucks!!

I like the idea of using the OE 84 stuff. But, if you threw it away, you could machine a tie-rod sleeve w/the proper thread size on each end if you know a decent machine shop.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I agree with 62gmc910

I would just find the steering linkage from a '73-'87 C20. I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to find.
