my 64 swb
Well here it is. Not sure how long I will get to keep her.
But I tought I would contribut to the board and post my truck instead of just reading everyones post. I love the short wide bed and the simple design and mechanics to the whole truck. [/IMG] |

Re: my 64 swb
Looks like a nice straight and clean truck.
Why do you say you don't how long you'll be able to keep her?

We keep the peace in the house as what ever we do we do together and there is never a "mine" but always an "ours" Worked well for 8yrs and not about to change it! SO, I will continue do little things to it as its for sale, but prefer a trade for a older vehicle with a auto in it and something a little more kid friendly. |

You know, she can always learn to drive a stick. Nice looking truck. Is it in the classifieds here?

SHE CAN DRIVE A STICK! But that has nothing to do with the force it takes to push in the stiff clutch with bad knee! She can drive a honda or our old scion with no problem. Last edited by ssincity; 01-04-2010 at 05:31 PM. Reason: finishing my thought |

Sorry, you just said she can't drive it as a stick. Didn't know she had a bad knee.

Re: my 64 swb
Thanks Gary.
I picked this truck becuase it didnt need a ton of restoration work just needed to start making it our own. But sadly my wife can not physically comfortably drive the stick due to the very stiff clutch. So we are now selling it and trying to find one with a auto or another classic car. I enjoy the style of these trucks over most the other years! |

Reserve met so it should go. I found a 61 lwb AUTOMATIC Apache here in town that I am going to try to get over to look at as a replacement for this. Would like to find a suburban/carry all but the ones closest to us are all out of price range. |

Thanks.. Well I just got an email from the high bidder that sounds like a scam or fraud but I will let it ride out to see what happens. I have a back up buyer from another forum so we shall see! He stated that he has been looking for a long time for a numbers matching 292 with a 4sp on a swb?? I am like WTF... Last edited by ssincity; 01-06-2010 at 08:23 PM. |

Re: my 64 swb
ACTUALLY the one is was telling you about was a scam. The guy who is buying it is a friend of someone on here.... Ok, so rusty rusty was the last truck I looked at here in Reno so it looks like I will be coming to Pamona with a empty trailer looking to fill it! |
