Built a cab dolly today.
I built a cab dolly for my cab today. I used the casters I did because it was all the local hardware store had. I need to get some bigger ones and change it to 4 I think. Otherwise it is pretty sturdy. I plan to use it on the next cab I rebuild rather than doing it on the frame. The floor of the cab is about 2 1/2 ft off the ground. I built it to use just the rear cab mounts so the front board won't be in my way for the next cab when I replace the floor support.

Re: Built a cab dolly today.
I would add a few diagonal pieces so it won't fold up on you... Harbor freight has some cheap casters... similar to mine but a little taller.

Re: Built a cab dolly today.
I plan to but I ran out of wood. I built this with wood I had saved from with I tore a wall out of my garage. I will buy some good casters the next time I go to Bismarck. (the closest "city" with real stores) I live in a town of 1000 people so our hardware store doesn't carry everything. I forgot to mention it is screwed together with some heavy screws.

Re: Built a cab dolly today.
I would hate to be leaning on it when 400lbs decides to shift... makes it easy to move around the garage though doesn't it?

Re: Built a cab dolly today.
Yes it is real easy to move it now. I am going to buy some wood tomorrow to put more braces in. As the cab sits now the dolly is plenty strong but if I hang doors and other stuff I think it might be a little weak.
