Column Shifter Lever Bushing.

This is a great site! Sad thing is I don't own a 67-72 Chev Truck. I own a 1990 Chev p30 StepVan. GM in all their wisdom used parts from the 67-72 Chev Trucks. So if you guys are looking for parts for your trucks.. maybe you could get some parts from wrecked motorhomes or p30 stepvans that may cross over to your vehicles. They may even have less wear and miles on them. Just trying to pay it forward for all your great posts. Is there anyone out there that has a picture of the bushing that goes into the column at the lever to stop it from being so loose. The plastic one on my p30 was crumbly and I have no reference. If someone could pull one and show me what it looks like maybe I can retrofit one. Thanks. (I think it is white plastic.

Thanks

Re: Column Shifter Lever Bushing.

Welcome to the 67-72 Chevy Truck Board from West Michigan!

I can take a pic and post it for you tomorrow if no one else comes up with one. Our trucks have a white bushing in the upper parrt of the column so it may be the same.

Re: Column Shifter Lever Bushing.

Did you mean the column bushing or the little nylon busing on the end of the shift lever? I need to find a source for the shifter end too if that's what you are referring to.
