help with 71 k20 4x4 with 93 k3500 parts

Ok, I am building my 71 and using parts from 2 donor vehicles. Lets talk about the most pressing. I have found a 93 one ton 4x4 with an NV4500, tcase, front axle...

Can I take the trans, xfercase and front end and just transplant those into my 71. This would swap to a drivers side drop. Any problems there?

I`d try to swap frames if that`s the way you want to go.I can`t imagine the front end working out.My`92 K3500 is a late year model. It`s a 6.5TD which came out late in`92 and I have the NV4500/NP241.The frames are just so different.I think with some work the frame could set under the early body.

assuming your 71 k20 has an NP205, advance adapters makes a kit to mate an NV4500 to it. then at least you'll have a 5 speed.

Thanks guys, I started a new thread that talks about the solution I came up with. I also have a thread on the x4 builds if you want to see what is happening.
