heater box leaking

Inside the cab of my truck there is a little removable metal piece that has oil/antifreeze/water leaking out of it. I am really not sure what it is. It has a oily residue when touched but is greenish/brown in color. Anyone know what it might be>? Im sure someone has ran into this somewhere.

Heater core.
I just replaced mine, and I ran into more issues from the previous owner.

Not very tough to replace. Do you have AC?

Re: heater box leaking

Yup you have a bad heater core that has sprung a leak. Not too hard to replace the heater core

with just reading the title its a heater core, the greenish brown stuff I would say to flush the cooling system too. I would link the in and out lines for the heater and clean those out too
