I don't know why they don't make them. They do for suburbans. They make the bedsides. seems to me they could do the ends.

Re: Repair Panels

that was my thinking, i dont need the whole bedside, and its not gonna be easy to find damaged beds that i can cut them off of.

Re: Repair Panels

I had just posted this same question a little while ago.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=376645

It seems that they are not out there without buying a whole bedside, so you and I, and hundreds of other are S.O.L.

MBGMIKE: Can you start a campaign for us? We need an insider to voice our needs for tailight replacement panels!

Re: Repair Panels

I bought a truck which had a perfect bed other than it had been blown off the truck and folded a side in. So really it was junk but the rear corners were 100% dent free around the tail light area. I couldn't see myself wasting them. So I cut about 2ft of the rear of the bed corners off and saved them. Sorry this doesn't help you out any. Your post just made me feel like I wasn't wasting space saving them.

Re: Repair Panels

If you look at the Classic Parts catalog, they show the back half of a bedside for sale, and it looks like it includes the light section. I need a driver's side, so I'm gonna call them up soon and make sure it includes that part. Just wanted to let you know I think somebody IS selling them repro.

Re: Repair Panels

They do go around to the taillight area but they dont have the cut outs for the taillights and they are missing much of the detail around the wheel opening and taillight area. I bought one to repair my blazer but it was going to be too much work so it is still hanging on the wall.

I have noticed that with a lot of the patch panels that I have bought. They seem to be missing most of the details. Like the lower inside door panel for example. Did the dies that the factory used 40 years ago get destroyed or are they just unable to be bought from gm?
