Tire question
So, I got a great deal (so I thought) on a brand new (as in never installed) set of 265 75 16 Michelin LTX AT's. Great tread pattern, but here's the possible problem. They have been sitting un installed for 3 years. As a result, they have ( which had to be shown to me as it is reallyt slight) dry cracks on the sidewall. Has anyone ever installed tyres that have this problem and is it dangerous?
My feelings are it isn't not only because I really want these tyres to work, but the ones that came off my 74 C20 were way worse than these are as they are about 30 years old now! Should I look on or just put these on and stop worring about it. Maybe throw an extra spare in the bed? |
