Re: SPID Question
Can you post a pic?
I will confess that some of the SPID labels I see have additional characters and I don't know what they are for. They may not mean anything... For example, mine has "9" before each entry: 9CD4 - Pulse Wipe 9E63 - Fleetside box 9GT4 - 3.73 rear axle 9G80 - Locking rear axle etc. I recognize the three digit RPO code but not the "9". I have seen others that have an extra single digit and even multiple digits but, as I say, if you are somewhat familiar with the RPO codes then the extras may not be significant. - OR - are you saying it has the codes but not the noun names, so you don't know what the codes mean? Post a pic if you can. K

Re: SPID Question
Oh, ok -
I think there is an RPO decoder on site here (or on one of the linked sites) but I know a bunch of those off the top of my head: A01 - Tinted windshield A52 - Frt bench seat B84 - body side molding B96 - wheel opening moldings C6P - 8600 lb GVW D45 - Mirror stainless steel (buckeye type) ...can't read... G51 - Heavy Duty springs rear JAN - Janesville assy plant MM4 - processing option, manual trans M20 - 3 speed manual with granny low NA4, NA5 - emissions packages V01 - Heavy Duty radiator V22 - uplevel grille ZY1 - single color paint Z53 - gages I think that's the high points. Is there a specific one that I can't read that you are interested in? K

Re: SPID Question
Yeah, pretty much all of my codes are different. I found the decoder, but haven't read any cool codes yet... like the axle ratio.

Re: SPID Question
I can't read it in your photo: what code are you showing for the axle ratio? If it's a GU6 then that's a 3.42:1.
Also: model number - CV20903: C = Chevrolet V = 4WD 209 = long wheel base 3/4 ton 03 = regular cab pickup 3/4 ton pickup with the M20 trans; sounds like a pretty serious truck! (lol) The truck in question must be the '87 K20 in your signature....

Re: SPID Question
Thanks for the info, I did the thing where you marked the driveshaft and counted the turns and got about 3 and a half, I figured it was a 3.73, but by trying to maker out that code it looks like its GU6, so it must be a 3.42. Doesn't rev to the moon like a 4.10 truck does so that may be right.
